If you’ve been around Honestly Angela for a while, you are most likely family with my Intuitive Tuesday series. For those of you that are new around here, Intuitive Tuesday is a weekly series that gets published every … Tuesday :). In these posts, I share about my journey and what I am learning while pursuing a more intuitive lifestyle.

I started living life more intuitively after I decided to give up dieting and excessively exercising. I have a history of disordered eating, and found that restrictive eating habits were doing me more harm then good. After giving birth to my beautiful daughter, I put all disordered eating habits and excessive exercising behind me, and started focusing on a healthier, and less structured approach to life in general.

Don’t get me wrong, I do believe in structure. I love structure. It is a great thing and there is definitely a place for it. By living intuitively I aim to stop enforcing unnecessary rules and restrictions on myself, and honour my mind, body, and emotions.

I am not getting all new age-y on you. In fact my beliefs are somewhat different. I am a Christian, and I believe that God created us and gave us an internal conscience to help guide us (along with His Holy Spirit). Rules and guidelines, particularly dieting and exercise programs, teach us to ignore our natural, internal cues, and go against our very nature. No wonder why it can be so hard to stick to a diet!

Since living intuitively, I have become a much happier person, and have a more laid-back approach to life. I am not stressed about what I will eat for my next meal, or when I will get a chance to workout. I have stopped binge eating, and started learning to listen to my hunger and satiety clues.

I would love for you to follow along on this series, and my personal journey to leading a more intuitive life! Below you can find links to past Intuitive Tuesday posts.
